A HUGE Comet Shout Out to one of our Kindergarten Families for sponsoring November's Backpack Buddies program!!!

Childcare Provided by YSS

Kids Club is a high-quality before school, after school and summer program through United Community School and Youth and Shelter Services, Inc.

United Families,

We are excited to offer before/after school and summer child care for United Families! Our childcare program is run through YSS, a social services organization based out of Ames! Currently there are many YSS Kid’s Clubs hosted in area schools and all of their sites are DHS licensed! While at Kid’s Club your child will participate in engaging activities, have time to play and interact with peers through center play, play outdoors, and even be served a snack!  If you have questions about if Kids Club may be a good fit for your family, please reach out to Kadence Hartwell at kcunited@yss.org.

Below you will find the registration packet for this school year! Please note that filling out a registration does not guarantee you a spot, as families will be served on a first come first serve basis. Please email this registration to kcunited@yss.org and we will get back to you with your status within 48 hours!

Kids club also operates on a sliding fee scale. This makes Kid’s Club an affordable option for most families! Below you will find our fee scale for the 22-23 school year! If you have questions about what level you would qualify for, please reach out to Janaya Steenhoek at kcunited@yss.org.

I think United Community School is so awesome because of its people and traditions, such as friendsgiving and mileage club. They care so deeply about you and will make you happy. I have made so many memories and friends here and will never forget this place. It is such an awesome place to learn and explore and most important to have fun.
